Government Polytechnic, Chatra founded in 2013 based at Chatra, Jharkhand. This technical institution being approved by AICTE gives diploma programmes in engineering branches. The institute is located on a 9 acres area for the total intake capacity of 655 students and 47 faculty members.

Government Polytechnic, Chatra offers 4 three-year full-time diploma programmes in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Mechatronics disciplines are offered.
