This page explains how users and organisations can request deletion of account data or organisation data associated with Knwdle.
1. Who Can Request Deletion?
- individual users may request deletion of their own account;
- organisation admins may request deletion of organisation-level data;
- parents may request deletion of their own eligible account data;
- institutions may request export or deletion of their workspace data, subject to verification.
2. How to Request Deletion
Send your request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your Knwdle account or organisation.
Please include:
- your full name;
- registered email address;
- organisation name, if applicable;
- whether you are requesting account deletion or organisation deletion;
- any additional details that help us identify the correct data.
3. Verification
Before processing deletion, we may verify the requester's identity and authority. This may include:
- confirmation from the registered email address;
- verification of organisation admin authority;
- additional support verification where needed for security or fraud prevention.
4. Deletion Timelines
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 24 business hours. Verified deletion requests are typically processed within 7 to 30 days, depending on the complexity of the request and whether organisation-wide data is involved.
5. Organisation Deletion
If an organisation requests deletion of its workspace and the request is verified, we will process deletion of eligible organisation data within a reasonable period, subject to any retention requirements described below.
6. What May Still Be Retained
Even after a deletion request, we may retain certain information where reasonably necessary for:
- billing, accounting, or payment reconciliation;
- fraud prevention and abuse prevention;
- security logs and audit requirements;
- dispute handling or legal compliance;
- backup or recovery cycles for a limited period.
7. Data Export Requests
Schools or organisation admins may also contact us to request export of eligible organisation data before deletion, where feasible.
