College Directory update requests
If you use the "Request an update" form on a College Directory institute page, we collect your name, email, phone number (optional), role at the institution (optional), and the change you're describing. This does not require an account or login. We use it only to review the request and verify it against an official source before any listing is edited — see Section 3 below.

3. How We Use Information
- To operate Knwdle and provide its features
- To manage accounts, permissions, and organisation access

- To review College Directory update requests — a team member manually verifies the request against an official source (the institution's own site, an updated disclosure document, etc.) before any listing is edited; submitting a request never publishes anything automatically
4. Data Ownership
Content and records created in Knwdle remain owned by the organisation or user that created or lawfully controls them, subject to applicable law and institutional arrangements.
Knwdle does not claim ownership over your educational content, files, or academic records. We process them only to operate and support the service.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share information only where reasonably necessary, including with:
- AWS-hosted infrastructure and related cloud services
- Storage and database systems such as S3 and RDS
- Payment processors such as Razorpay
- Institutions and authorised admins managing their workspace
- Authorities where legally required
6. Security Measures
- Role-based access control
- Permission-based visibility within the platform
- Session controls and authenticated access
- HTTPS / encrypted connections where supported
- Restricted access to production systems
- Operational logging and auditability
No system can guarantee absolute security, but Knwdle actively works to reduce risk, prevent misuse, and respond to issues responsibly.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain platform integrity, support institutions, handle billing, and comply with legal or operational obligations.

Knwdle is designed for institution-managed educational use. Student access may be created through school-managed accounts, invitations, or permitted sign-up flows supported by the institution.
