Open full gallery →IIT (BHU) Varanasi grew from Banaras Engineering College (1919) within Banaras Hindu University; BENCO, TECHNO and MINMET merged as IT-BHU in 1968, and the institute became an IIT in 2012. Located inside the BHU campus in Varanasi, it completed 100 years in 2019 and continues the technical-education legacy of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya.
