MG College Dumka is an affiliated college and is located in Ranishwar, Jharkhand, offering a variety of undergraduate programmes on merit-based admissions. The MG College admission procedure aims to maintain an open system for admitting all eligible candidates. Academic merit is treated as the principal factor for admission to the undergraduate programmes of the college.

Students are considered based on their performance in the qualifying examination, i. e. , the 10+2 or equivalent examination. MG College offers 20 undergraduate programmes spread across 5 degree courses, all of which are full-time programmes.
