Rajat Degree College, Lucknow is an affiliated college having a veritable medley of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college follows a very extensive and varied admission process for its programmes. Meritorious admissions are usually based on the marks obtained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests, according to the policies of the state government and that of the affiliated university.

It offers courses under the following streams: Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, and Physical Education for students. Most of the programmes have a routine admission cycle at the beginning of the academic year around August-September, which is usually the schedule for the new academic year.
