Arasan Ganesan College of Preceptors Sivakasi is an affiliated college, situated in Virudhunagar Tamil Nadu, state, established in the year 2008. It is an NAAC accredited institution affiliated to the University of Mysore and recognised by NCTE / UGC. Located on a two-acre land, the college’s core area of niche is teacher education Training It has a four-year B. Ed programme.

The college currently has 159 students who are under the instruction of 11 faculty members, but this ration allow students to receive personal attention together with quality education. Arasan Ganesan College has many facilities which it deems appropriate to improve on the learning ability of the students.

It a strongly stand of academic books with about 8514 books in its collection, seven encyclopedia sets are also available. Students can download N-List e-resources and listen to educational CDs for different school subjects. The students can develop their language skills in the listening, speaking, reading and the writing skills in Digitial English Communication Lab which has installed the latest software.

Further, to bring in effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), there is provision of a computer laboratory with internet connection and relevant software. Arasan Ganesan College of Preceptors offers a single full-time course: The programme that the present ministry wants the government to fund is the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) programme .

This two-year programme has an approved enrolment of one hundred students which embody the college’s mission of delivering quality teachers. This B. Ed course is aimed at producing teachers for teaching carreer, this course enable the students to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge in teaching.

The admission to courses offered by the Arasan Ganesan College of Preceptors is done on the basis of the mark that a student scores in the qualifying examination or any entrance examination. The college implements the admission provisions of the state government, Union Territory administration, and the affiliated university.
