Balaji College of Education, Faridabad, established in the year 2007, is an affiliated college devoted to teacher education. This is co-educational in nature, being located at Adarsh Nagar Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, Haryana, and operating on 2. 13 acres of land. It is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), a statutory body that maintains standards in teacher education.
While the total enrolment of students in the institute is 192, the faculty strength number is 15, thereby promising a concentrated learning experience. The college offers a range of facilities to cater to its two-fold mission of pedagogical responsibility: one to the students and another to the general public.
Academic resources, in addition to the classroom, can be provided within the separate sections and the reading room of the library, welcoming 40 students at a time. In its promotion of practical learning, the institution maintains several specialised laboratories, including the curriculum laboratory, ICT laboratory, educational technology laboratory, and psychology laboratory.
In this view, facilities are constantly getting updated to meet the needs of the students in terms of present resources and technologies. Balaji College of Education currently has one programme as its flagship programme: the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed ) programme. This is a full-time course with an approved intake of 100 students; this is in keeping with the college's vision to keep a good student-teacher ratio.
The B. Ed. course prepares the aspiring teacher with knowledge and skills that are most applicable in today's classrooms. The admission will be made solely based on merit as per the policy of the state government/UT administration and the university to which the college is affiliated.
Prospective students are assessed according to the performance of their qualifying examination, entrance examination or any other selectivity process as may be recommended by the authorities.
