Balaji Mahavidyalaya, Barmer

It is Balaji Mahavidyalaya of Barmer which was founded in the year 2015 and is a co-educational affiliated college at Sanapa-Barmer, Rajasthan. This is a young university that has intensely promoted a focused area of education which is that of teacher training.

The college has a total enrolment of 201 students and a faculty strength of 16 the college has a small classroom teaching ratio which favors an individual student-teacher interaction and education. At present, Balaji Mahavidyalaya has only one course for its students, the B. Ed course, which gives emphasis on the college’s focus on the formation of teachers.

What makes the college outstanding is the myriad of features that are intended to improve the learning process and general efficiency of students. Even in the current age of technology the library plays the important role of a source of knowledge needed for academic activities. For the laboratory aspect of their curriculum, well equipped laboratories enable the student to be practical.

The institutional requirement of the modern era is evidently met by the college with great provision of IT facilities, the students are ready for the digital world. For a complete development there are sports installations for those interested in physical activities and teamwork. The college also has specially provided hostels for boys and girls so out of town students can study in comfort and safety.

An auditorium is used for holding of events and seminars among other activities in order to promote the culture of the college. Also, the college offers transport facilities for students and staff in order to address their issues of transport. The B. Ed program at Balaji Mahavidyalaya is a two years’ full time course to prepare qualified and enthusiastic teachers.

As the college is committed to turning out quality teachers, the programmes and admission standard are in compliance with policies laid by the state government and the university to which the college is affiliated. Balaji Mahavidyalaya has a simple admittance criterion qualifying examination mark /entrance exam mark basis for admissions to B. Ed programme .

The admission process is following the rules and regulation framed by the state government of Rajasthan and the college affiliated University; thus the process is quite transparent.
