BAPU College of Education in Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore is one of the premier teacher training college which was started in the year 2005. This affiliated college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the quality education in the teaching profession. Located in a vast area of 27. 3 acres, BAPU College of Education provides institute building environment to the education aspirants.

As of now, the college has 96 enrolments and is equipped with 8 dedicated members of the faculty. BAPU College of Education is co education college where boys and girls have equal chance to study and become teachers. The BAPU College of Education has put in place various facilities meant to facilitate and complement the learning process of the college’s students.

Any library is equipped with books and other educational materials that allow students know more information. The campus also houses a cafeteria to help student and staffs take their meals besides offering them a chance to interact. There is an auditorium to facilitate all sorts of activities, seminars, etc which contribute in creating an academic culture.

For those who have the interest in the sports and exercises the college provides various sports amenities and a gym. The institute also focuses on health with a health centre for students with first aid amenities for first aid services.

In response to the needs of students from other districts, BAPU College of Education offers hostels both for boys and girls students, adequately equipped for the accommodation of students. Currently, BAPU College of Education has only one flagship programme, and this is the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed ) programme.

This course is a two year full course and aims to equip its students with all the necessary skills for successful teaching careers. The college has been sanctioned to admit 100 students for the B. Ed program, enough chance that prospective candidates can apply for. The basic admission policy of BAPU College of Education is that it takes admission on the merit basis, following the state government policy, U. T.

Administration policy and as prescribed by the affiliated university. Using the qualifiers examination and or entrance examination as a benchmark, candidates seeking university education are selected. The college may also use other methods of selection as may be obtaining at the time of disseminating these educational policies.
