Billroth College of Nursing is one among the prestigious nursing college in Chennai established in the year 2000. As a co-educational college, it is situated in Maduravoyal, Chennai City and Recognised by the Tamil Nadu Dr M. G. R Medical University and IA approved Indian Nursing Council.

The college has the advantage of occupying sufficient area of 55 acres in their campus enabling the educational and practical aspects. Billroth College of Nursing would be having a total enrolment of 196 students and for teaching faculty it has 23 staffs making the nurse student ratio at par which is very essential for teaching nursing profession.

There are a number of amenities within the college to cater for the academic as well as the general need of the students. The library being the nerve center of learning facilities, is well illuminated, ventilated and has in its stock over 6000 books and a collection of national and International Journals. As for practical sessions, it has departmental based laboratory with most of the modem facilities.

Students can also use the on campus health centre to gain access to first aid facilities. In order to maintain students’ health and a healthy lifestyle, there also provided the facilities for fitness and sports among them is gym. It is responsible for handling all things digital learning-related; the auditorium is for events like seminars.

To enhance the transport facilities are available and the college also has a canteen for both students and staff. Billroth College of Nursing currently offers one full-time course: the B. Sc . Nursing programme. This is a four year undergraduate degree programme with an expected annual entry of 50 students.

The given programme is aimed at offering theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to become a stimulating and qualified nurse. As this college provides this central nursing course, it avails other programmes to ensure that the students acquire adequate education to face various struggles that exist within this market.

Practically at Billroth College of Nursing, it is aimed at proper selection of matured and capable B. Sc. Nursing Course students. With regard to the admission criteria, the college generally focuses on the academic achievements in 10+2 boards besides preferences in science stream and particularly in Biology. Also, candidates may have to take written examination as per rules of Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R.
