Dev Rishi Institute of Polytechnic and Technology was set up in Saharanpur in the year 2013 and is the institution that has offered technical education to the students of Uttar Pradesh. Established in Nakur, this affiliated college has been preparing the generation of great engineers for about a decade now.

The diploma courses at Dev Rishi Institute of Polytechnic and Technology include five full time programmes each taking a period of three academic sessions. These programmes cover key engineering disciplines: Automobile, Civil, Electrical, Electronics and telecom, and Mechanical .

The institute at one time can take a total of 420 students across these courses, civil and mechanical engineering having the highest capacity for any course at the institute, totalling to 120.
