The Faculty of Management Studies, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, is one of the premier management schools in India. The admission process of the university focuses on choosing the candidates best suited for the various MBA programs offered by the institution; currently, the institution offers four MBA-specializations.
FMS Udaipur mostly considers applicants on the basis of national-level entrance examinations; thus, CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) gets a precedence.
The admission process has three-fold components, ensuring almost equal opportunity for all the eligible candidates: Part A: Admission based on CMAT Score The candidate should have a valid CMAT score with a minimum of 40 percentile (30 percentile for SC/ST candidates).
Part B: Considering the Remaining seats from Part A Candidates having valid scores of other national management aptitude tests like CAT, MAT-AIMA, or XAT shall be considered. The tests must have a minimum score of 40 percentile (30 percentile in case of SC/ST candidates).
Part C: Admission based on Graduation Marks The remaining seats after Part A and Part B will be filled by candidates with a graduation qualification being considered based on the percentage of marks obtained in graduation.
The institution has thereby evolved a wholesome mechanism to select their students comprising the entrance examination-cum-graduation percentage system so as to have some degree of diversity among opted students in terms of their background and qualification. Application Process The application process for the MBA programs at FMS Udaipur implies several steps: 1.
Entrance Tests: Candidates need to take CMAT or other accepted national-level management entrances (CAT, MAT, AIMA, XAT). 2. Application Submission: After declaration of the results, eligible candidates are invited to apply at FMS Udaipur. It is likely that the procedure includes filling an online application form at the institute's website. 3.
Document Submission: The candidates now forward a series of documents which typically include: Valid entrance exam score card (CMAT or any other accepted exam) Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate 10th and 12th standard mark sheets Category certificate (for SC/ST candidates) Any other relevant certificate or document as specified by the institute 4.
