Farook B Ed College, Malappuram

Farook B. Ed. College was established in 2004 and is an affiliated college functioning in Malappuram, Kerala state. This co-educational institution specializes in teacher education, offering two full-time courses: B. Ed degree course and D. El. Ed. Course. Recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college holds every future educator to higher standards.

The college prop in a 52 acres of campus area, has a total sanctioned enrolment capacity of 100 students spread across the Prefectoral and Administrative Faculty of seventeen members. The quality education and the conducive environment to learning make the college to be one of the best when it comes to training educative personnel especially teachers in the concerned region. College owns a variety of facilities which make provision for the improvement of the learning process and general advancement of the learners. A library facility has a collection of about 10,000 volumes, 25 periodicals, tapes/ CDs and video/DVD players.

To encourage computer literacy the Educational Technology Lab is equipped with modern technological teaching tools such as LCD television, projectors and sound systems to aid student’s exposure to computer oriented classrooms.

For playing and sports related activities and games, the college has a spacious playground with facilities for volleyball , football and cricket aside from other indoor games like chess and carom. The 200-seat capacity hall is used for various curricula, productions and extra-curricula activities create a campus life experience.

For the convenience of male and female students, hostels are available for them and the intending student can comfortably live in during their course of study. The college does offer lunch from its college cafeteria and besides, there is a health centre that has provisions of first aid to students in case of emergencies.
