Gogte College of Commerce, Belgaum is one of the oldest and renowned Commerce College was established in the year 1954 at Belgaum, Karnataka. Approved by UGC under section 2(f) and also 12(B), it is a private college which is affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi.
The college holds ‘A’ Grade Affiliation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which acknowledges the institutions focus in delivering quality education. Located on a 12 acre of land, Gogte College of Commerce hosts a wide spectrum of commerce and business management programmes, with a total student strength of 2325, and 14 committed faculty members.
Gogte College of Commerce has the following well equipped fashionable physical structures to complement the learning process. A well-stocked library centre holds a vast collection of text books, reference books, periodicals, newspaper and e- resources.
The institution boasts of its computer laboratories where there are 201 computers in six laboratories to ensure that the students did not only catch up with the latest technologies in computers. For the students who need to be accommodated, the college has boy’s hostel with a capacity of accommodating 120 students and a girl’s hostel with a capacity of 70 students.
For the sports lovers, there are provided both indoor and outdoor infrastructure, which allows them to combine sport activities with the learning process. It also owns a contemporary college hall for conferences and other events as well as boosting the student life. Gogte College of Commerce provides a good number of courses in different categories of education.
The institution offers five full-time courses, namely three under graduated courses; B. Com , BCA, BBA , one post graduated course M. Com, and doctoral degree course Ph. D. in Commerce. The undergraduate programmes take three years, the postgraduate course takes two years, and the Ph. D. course takes up to six years.
Admission in Gogte College of Commerce is centralized and the Under Graduate & Post Graduate admission will be strictly based on Merit, that is the mark secured by the candidate in the last qualifying exam. Under the Ph. D. programme, admission is conferred on the basis of an interview.
