Government College, Batiyagarh

Government College Batiyagarh came into existence in the year 2013 and is a co-educational college situated at Damoh in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The college is affiliated with Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University . This affiliated college, which is part and parcel of the higher education system of this state, provides a single undergraduate programme.

Having a total of 530 students in a year and 7 faculty members, the college offers personalised experiences. Although it is still a youthful institution, it seeks to serve the education needs of the target community by offering the BA programme with approved intakes of two hundred students every year.

Government College, Batiyagarh, has produced several facilities which can complement the experiences of the students and promote academic achievements. Running through all these facilities is the library, whose importance cannot be underestimated and whose role is to help the student to go further than the book knowledge that he or she gets in the classroom.

It also boasts a good IT centre and student-to-computer ratio to prepare the students for the modern technological way of learning. For this reason, the institution supports the extracurricular activities, with programmes such as the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Government College Batiyagarh at present is providing only one full-time course , which is the Bachelor of Arts, also known as BA.

Of all the university degrees, this type of undergraduate degree spans three years and seeks to produce graduates equipped with a humanities and social sciences knowledge base. The programme also has an approved intake of 200 students, indicating the ability of the institution to provide for a large number of intending students every academic year.
