Panihati Mahavidyalaya, Sodepur, is a co-educational affiliated college with its home in Kolkata, West Bengal. The college provides a wide range of undergraduate programmes in various Arts, Commerce, and Science streams. Panihati Mahavidyalaya admission is merit based to give equal opportunity to all eligible candidates.

For most of the undergraduate programmes, the fundamental eligibility criterion is the completion of 10+2 from the recognised board. Cut-off percentage is, in general, variable and dependent on the programmes; however, it is expected that candidates should possess reasonably good academic background in their respective streams.
