AG Teachers College, Ahmedabad is the famous colleges was established in 1952. This affiliated college in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, has grown to be a developing place for teachers over the past 70 years. The institute is NAAC recognized and NCTE approved, hence providing quality education. Spread over a compact 1-acre campus, AG Teachers College provides a focused learning environment.

With total enrolment of 101 students and a faculty strength of 7, the atmosphere in the college is quite intimate. AG Teachers College has various facilities that enrich its educational mission. This is supported by a library, one of the strong check points for academic resources, with more than 25,000 books and an open access system for the trainees.

To assist in practical learning, the institution is well-endowed with several laboratories: Methods lab, Psychology lab, Science lab(s), Education Technology lab, etc. In addition, this institute also lays great focus on the use of technology within the curricula, for which a computer laboratory is well-equipped with 20 computers and internet facilities to tackle subjects under Information & Technology.

The multi-purpose conference hall with a capacity of 200 participants provides an ideal place for holding academic and cultural events. AG Teachers College runs a specialized curriculum with the main course being the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed ).

This is a two-year full-time course, which aims at training students for teaching careers and education. Being an institution exclusively meant for teacher education, it enables special training and deeper study in pedagogical methods. The approved intake for the B. Ed.

programme is 50 seats, ensuring a controlled environment of learning, which under the guidance of the teachers can facilitate individual attention and interactive learning experiences. The admission to A. G. Teachers College is based on merit as per the rules framed by the State Government and the University.

Student applicants are selected on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination or entrance examination or other selection process as may be decided by the authorities.
