Anantsadvidya College of Education, Hassan

Anantsadvidya College of Education is another teacher education college situated at Hassan, Karnataka. This affiliated college has been producing teacher training candidates for almost two decades after its inception in 2004. Besides DTE, the college is also approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and offering an area of only 2 acres.

As a teacher training institution, Anantsadvidya College of Education at present has 32 students and 7 faculty members which make it clear that the college follows a student-faculty ratio that facilitates individual interaction between the student and the teacher. Anantsadvidya College of Education boasts of a variety of facilities meant to improve learning for the students.

A references library is an important centre where all necessary information is kept to support the process of learning for future teachers. There is also infrastructures for sporting activities that would enhance the physical wellbeing, and team work amongst students. Anantsadvidya College of Education currently offers only one main course, which is the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed ) course. This is a two-Year course that is full-time and which prepares the students for successful teaching careers.

The college has been approved for 50 positions in this programme as a way of ensuring quality education for a large enrolment of those who seek to become teachers. Admission policy of Anantsadvidya College of Education is based on merit along with policy framed by the state government and the affiliated university.

The qualifications for admission of prospective students are determined by their performance in an entrance test commonly known as the qualifying examination that can be the bachelor’s degree.
