ARS B Ed College, Bokaro

ARS B. Ed. College, Bokaro, was founded in 2007, is an affiliated institution for teacher profession. This college is situated at Bokaro Steel City in the state of Jharkhand and occupies a total land area of 2. 36 acres of land. The institute offers two full-time programmes: B. ED and D. EL. ED. , total intake 152 students with teaching staff18 members.. Recognised by NCTE college ARS B. Ed.

College aims at producing the future educators equipped with adequate skills for teaching. The college also has a healthy student and teacher ratio, this allows it to provide quality education in teaching. The ARS B. Ed. College has the following facilities that have a potential of improving the learning outcomes of the students.

A good library contains books amounting to over Seven Thousand volumes, one thousand, six hundred and six titles inclusive of educational journals, reference books and newspapers which make learning enjoyable. Technology is compliments of the institution as the computer laboratory is well equipped with 16 personal computers and internet waivers.

This lab which is being supervised by a qualified teaching assistant also provides scanning and printing services. For well-rounded development, the college has various sport options and may be taken indoors, or outdoors, and may involve chess or Badminton, Cricket, Athletic etc.

State of the art first aid is available in a health centre so as to guarantee the students’ health while a canteen is available to offer a balanced diet. An auditorium used for events and seminars is also availably in the college and several activities enhances the college campus life. ARS B. Ed. College offers two primary courses: B. ED – a Bachelors in Education and D. El. Ed – Diploma in Elementary Education.

Both are full time and takes two academic years to complete. The B. Ed. programme had an approved intake capacity of hundred seats and the D. El. Ed. programme has recognised intake capacity of fifty seats only. These courses aim at preparing the students adequately for their carrier in this field of teaching. Candidates seeking admission in ARS B. Ed.

College are selected based on their performance in the qualifying examination accompanied by entrance examination if any. The admission regulation of the college is in accordance with the policy followed by the State Government of Jharkhand as well as the university to which the college is affiliated.
