Bangarh Scholar Teachers Training Institute, Balurghat was established in the year 2015. This is a co-educational institute with a compact campus of 1 acre and imparts education only in training future teachers. This affiliated college got its affiliation from the National Council of Teacher Education by which this institute would work towards training teachers according to the national standards.

The institute currently has two specialized courses with a student enrollment of 196, and the faculty strength is 34 teachers of experience. The institutes have several facilities that help in making the learning process of the students more enriching. There is a well-stocked library comprising 4,260 books and a reading room for 100 students, thus providing an ambiance congenial for research and study.

It has available separate boys' and girls' hostels on campus, thereby making the process of comfortable accommodation easier for out-station students. It is also fully equipped with laboratories for practical training, an auditorium for events and seminars, sports facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, and a canteen.

The guest rooms round off the amenities to complete the campus experience. Bangarh Scholar Teachers Training Institute offers two professional full-time courses in the area of teacher education: B. Ed and D. El. Ed. The course structure in both the programmes comprises comprehensive knowledge with practical experience for two years, which helps the aspiring teachers face the challenges confidently.
