Bankey Bihari College of Education, Abohar

Bankey Bihari College of Education is a self-financed college at Abohar in the state of Punjab, India, which was founded in 2012. This co-educational institution is stationed at V. P. O. Alamgarh, Sri Ganganagar Road, and occupies a campus of only 1 acre. NCTE recognised the College and offered only one course which specialises in a specific area of concentration.

The enrolment is 100 students, while the faculty for each course consists of 7 faculties, which makes the learning process highly individualistic. Bankey Bihari College of Education has various facilities that make the learning process of the students better. A networked computer centre acts as an important information source, and separate departmental laboratories help students gain practical knowledge.

The campus has an auditorium for occasions, such as seminars and so on, which adds to the life in the academic community. A cafeteria fulfils the culinary needs of the students as well as the staff in the school. Security and maintenance got focus, with first aid services being provided by a medical centre. Bankey Bihari College of Education is the provider of one full-time course, i. e.

, Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed ). This is a two-year programme that has been developed to equip the students in readiness to teach in lower classes. The college has an approved capacity of 50 intakes for this course in order to provide quality Carmen teacher training.

Admission policy of the Bankey Bihari College of Education is in conformity with the admission policy framed by the state government and UT Administration. Admissions are merit-based, and the criteria include marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college may also use other methods of trying to select students as may be encouraged by the government.
