APS College of Nursing, Jalandhar was started in the year 2006 and is one of the considerable Nursing colleges which are imparting nursing education in Punjab, INDIA. This affiliated college is situated at Shahkot Road Malsian and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Situated at a sprawling 4 acre land area, the college is a co-educational institute to promote diversification.
In terms of total student enrollment and the number of faculty members the APS College of Nursing takes a total of 153 students and it has a faculty member of 19. APS College of Nursing has first-rate facilities meant to complement the college education the students receive and their general development.
The campus equipped with the Mess: Fundamental Nursing Lab, Maternal & Child Health Nursing Lab, Community Health Nursing Lab and Anatomy Museum for practical. The library contains the current and new books, nursing journals and newspapers, helpful for students in their studies and research.
Both male and female students are provided with large hostel facilities containing individual beds cupboards study tables book racks etc. Sports and storage for exercise equipment like a gym is provided for the students’ physical health by the college. Also, an auditorium provides a variety of programmes and seminars, and information technologies facilitate students’ communication with the cutting-edge technology.
Because of the simplicity, the college offers means of transport for the clinical training to and from college and offers the college canteen with hygienically prepared meal by contractual managers . Here at APS College of Nursing, there is a total of three full time course offered to best provide for the nursing education needs of the college.
These include two programmes in undergraduate degree, one programme in diploma with an aggregate student capacity of one twenty throughout all the courses offered in the institution. The amount of fixed seats that are provided for the B. Sc Nursing course is 40 and this is a four years course.
