Adarsh College of Nursing, Patiala started in 2004, is one of the leading nursing Colleges for providing nursing Education in Punjab. The co-educational college is on Patiala-Hisar Road, Bhakhra Enclave; it offers Nursing Programmes under the BU of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

This college is recognised and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and is located in a 3-acre campus this college provides quality education in health care services. Currently the college enrolment is 471 students and 33 faculties which makes Adarsh College of Nursing to equip a favourable atmosphere for the growing of the nurses of tomorrow.

Adarsh College of Nursing comprises a variety of state of the art facilities that can facilitate its educational role. A well recognised library is a vital component of learning Resources which boasts of having about 4000 text books and 20 journals of Indian and international publications. The library, open from 9: Monday to Friday 00 AM to 8:00 PM provides internet facilities e – journals and reprography services.

Through HSLIBNET connectivity, the students of this University can visit the central library of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. There are also modern laboratories such as Community Health Laboratory, Nutrition Laboratory, Fundamentals of Nursing Laboratory and Pre-Clinical laboratory for Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology.

These labs include the use of modern tools and manikin in order to facilitate training to students. For the all round development of the students, this college provides sports and games indoor and outdoor facilities and annually conduct sports meet. The college presents a total of seven courses in two levels of degree. The programmes offered are B. Sc Nursing , Post Basic B. Sc Nursing, M.

Sc Nursing specialities of Psychiatric , Medical Surgical, Community Health , Paediatric and Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nurses . All of the programmes are day-time only, which is intended to give students solid theoretical foundation, as well as practical experience in nursing.
