Bethany School of Nursing, Shillong

Bethany School of Nursing is situated in Shillong which came into existence in 2018 and is a self-financed institute offering nursing courses. Approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), this is a fairly young college situated in Nongrim Hills, Shillong, Meghalaya. Measuring 0. 32 acres, it is a compact campus which comprises of 58 enrolments.

The faculty strength consist of 8 members and the school has a student-teacher ratio which is 15 students per one teacher, so in the nursing faculty the students can expect quality education. Bethany School of Nursing has all the basic amenities required for students for their successful education experiences for their needs.

The library is a resourceful centre that affords nurses a variety of nurse’s literature and other reference resources. Departmental based laboratories provides practical skills allowing students to practice and develop practical nursing skills in a safe environment.

Also, there is a good information and technology system in the college whereby the students gain knowledge and utilise modern developed tools, technologies, and other equipments necessary in modern nursing systems. At present, Bethany School of Nursing offers one primary course, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme.

This course is a three year full course which allows students to undertake training in both nursing and midwifery. The institute has a set capacity of 30 students who can be admitted for this programme in order to make sure quality delivery of education through limited number of students per programme. Such an approach allow the school to offer focused concentration to the nursing education.
