Bhaktabala B Ed College, Nadia

Bhaktabala B. Ed. College was started in the year 2009. This institution is one of the affiliated ones, and recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education has been obtained. Situated on a compact campus of about 1 acre, Bhaktabala B. Ed. College provides a concentrated learning environment to students.

At present, the institution has an enrolment of 159 students and a faculty strength of 18, thereby maintaining a decent student–teacher ratio for one-on-one attention and mentorship. The college has several facilities that enrich the learning process of students. This is an excellent resource bank, with 4,000 books on all subjects, periodicals, and journals.

As part of practical training, there is also a well-maintained Psychology Laboratory that enables students to carry out experiments as part of their B. Ed. curriculum. Moreover, the integration of technology is also taken care of with the state-of-the-art Computer Laboratory, fully equipped with broadband internet access and printing facilities, managed by a full-time teaching assistant. College has separate hostels meant for boys and girls. An auditorium for events and seminars adds to the vibrant campus life. Presently Bhaktabala B. Ed. College imparts only one main course, which is the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed. ) program. The B. Ed.

program is, by its very description, a pre-service training arrangement geared toward equipping the teacher trainee with knowledge, skills, and professional experience in order to evolve as a successful educator.
