Bhartiya Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, was established in the year 1972 and is situated at Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Located in Surya City Township on National Highway 11, this affiliated college has been providing homeopathic education of standard for almost five decades. The institute, which is recognised by the CCH and offers BHMS course, aims at producing homeopathic practitioners.
The college occupies a large area of 1. 5 acres which give students a conducive environment for learning and practising. The college has great amenities that are kept to improve the performance of the students in their college. The library is adequately stocked with both a great number of books and the recently issued journals, which can be very useful when studying.
In a bid to meet the current technological requirements, the institute has put a lot of emphasis in developing facilities that complements current learning tools for the students. The classrooms are large and allow for fresh air circulation making the environment which the learners study in to be very conducive.
Criminal practice has its training facility where students of the college can practice in the clinical pathology lab that offers opportunities to practice in different techniques. Moreover, students require foods and a cafeteria on the compound supplies all the foods needed by both the students and the workforce. BHMC&H has only one full-time programme for studying BHMS – Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery.
Homeopathic medicine studies are taught at six-tiered level, so it takes six years to complete the program. The college has an approved intake capacity of 40 students in this course so as to continue with the college’s policy of admitting limited numbers of students in all courses in order to be able to accord each student individual attention.
The total strength of students is 174 and the total number of faculties is 25 strength so the institute maintains a correct student faculty ratio for the proper and careful needs of students. The process of admission to BHMC&H is connected with merit and offers the necessary structure for students’ admitting.
Admission for the aspiring students is to take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which is the only test that the institute recognises as their standard entrance exam. NEET scores are important as they determine which deserving applicant will get a place in the BHMS programme.
