Bijou College of Education, Gwalior

Bijou College of Education Gwalior was established in the year 2006 it is an affiliated college situated in Satyadev Nagar Gandhi Road Gwalior Madhya Pradesh. It is a college focused on offering teacher education and accredited by the relevant authority, National Council for Teacher Education –NCTE. Thanks to the development of several facilities, learning is enhanced in this college in the following ways.

As a library it is an essential facility equipped with books and other related educational and teaching/learning materials. To these types of interests, there are provided sport halls on campus for students interested in regular physical activities and sports. The college also values technological development as it boasts of a wonderful information technology to equip the students with the new technological skills.

Furthermore, all departments in their attempt offer practical laboratory sessions, which are important for budding teachers to perfect on.. Bijou College of Education currently offers one main course: the Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed ). This is a two years full time programme meant for students with intentions of becoming teachers the lower basic level.

This college has been approved to intake 50 students for this course, which ensures the college afford the students adequate personal attention. Unfortunately, information about the overall number of graduates is missing but the small amount of students who are taken for the year proves the individual approach to the education of each learner.

As far as admission to Bijou College of Education is concerned, the marks in the qualifying examination and/ or entrance test are considered to admit students. The college may also apply other procedures of the selection than those described above as per the policies of the Madhya Pradesh Government and the affiliated university.
