CUIET is a constituent College under Calicut University, which is located in the Malappuram district of Kerala was established in the year 2001. This joint institution is an engineering school that occupies 25. 17 acres of land and has various programmes for the training of intending technologists.

The college is fully accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), of which the acronym forms the last part of CUIET Malappuram’s popular moniker. CUIET Malappuram (Calicut University Institute of Engineering and Technology) is a constituent college of the University of Calicut, Kerala, and is fully affiliated with the University of Calicut . The institute boasts of being in a position to provide all-around amenities to complement the student experience. It has modernly equipped departmental laboratories for practical sessions within the campus.

Known to be the storehouse of knowledge, the library has books in excess of 17000 and journals totalling 218 to support the students’ academic requirements. For accommodation purposes, CU offers strictly limited hostels for both male and female students in CUIET.

Some of these programmes are electrical and electronics engineering , electronics and communication engineering, information and technology, mechanical engineering and printing technology. The total approved intake of these courses is 270, of which 60 intake capacity has been approved for four programmes and 30 intake capacity for Printing Technology.
