CDL Government Polytechnic Sirsa was established in 2002 under the aegis of the Department of Technical Education Haryana and is situated on the outskirts of the village of Nathusari Chopta. CDL Government Polytechnic is a co-educational Technical institute affiliated with the Haryana State Board of Technical Education Panchkula.
The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, New Delhi) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). CDL Government Polytechnic offers diploma courses. The courses include Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering , Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering .
Admissions are conducted based on the candidate’s performance in the Class 10 qualifying examination, followed by counselling conducted by the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES). The college is affiliated with Haryana State Board of Technical Education. Several programmes have consistently achieved high placement percentages, demonstrating the institute's focus on student employability.
Mechanical Engineering recorded 27 students placed with a 100% placement rate in the 2023–26 academic year. CDL Government Polytechnic facilities include a library, sports, laboratories, gym, cafeteria, hostels, guest room, convenience store and an auditorium.
