Chitkara College of Education Patiala, established in the year 2003, is also a constituent college with an aim to construct the future of education. The institution is situated in Patiala, Punjab, and this premier institution has created a niche for teacher education. The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE); hence, our programmes are in conformity with the national requirements.

Chitkara College of Education recognises the need to address its prospective teachers with differently designed B. Ed and M. Ed for the educators of the future. Chitkara College of Education houses highly developed infrastructure facilities that facilitate the learning of its students.

The modern library ascribes to a knowledge centre and hosts more than 57800 print and non-print materials, such as books, journals and e-resources. More than 10,000 electronic journals available to students promote research and lifelong learning. The IT facility is also well developed with interconnected computer centres to give the students new software and communication aids.

Added to this, the college has excellent sporting amenities for those students who want to combine education with sports. The campus also includes professional laboratories, bright classrooms with multimedia facilities, and large conference halls.

Ed programme which is one of the flagship programme of the college, has an approved intake capacity of 100, while for the Ph. D programme 50 students are admitted. Also, it offers composite courses like BA B. Ed and B. Sc B. Ed, in which the college takes 50 students for each course. These four-year integrated courses allow students to pursue a bachelor's degree in arts or science along with a B. Ed.

degree so that the students become competent to teach in schools. The process of admission in Chitkara College of Education is strictly following the government norms and is absolutely transparent and merit-based. For the B. Ed programme’s admission, the candidate has to be qualified in the entrance exams specified by the academic year and duly ranked.
