Christian College of Nursing, Kanyakumari

The present paper revolves around the study of Christian College of Nursing, Kanyakumari which was founded in the year 1999 and is one of the most leading institutions that provide nursing education in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

This affiliated college is situated in Neyyoor and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) in order to make sure in the responsive behaviour of the college towards the educational needs of the country in the field of nursing. Situated in a 3-acre campus, this college provides various nursing courses at the UG as well as PG level.

The college offers quality education to the aspiring nurses with a good teaching environment. The college has assorted infrastructures meant to complement the learning process of the students. A good library is an important knowledge centre, and the available laboratory facilities are almost essential in training nurses.

Sc Nursing course programme with an admitted capacity of one hundred students.

In its post graduate programmes, the college offers five specialised M. Sc Nursing programmes of two years duration with an intake of four students for each specialty. They include; M. Sc in Medical Surgical Nursing , Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing , Obstetrics/Gynaecological Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing .

Courses for all types of nurses are only full time and offer comprehensive training in many medical nursing fields. Total enrolment of students across all programmes: 224, which has been planned with keeping appropriate student-faculty ratio for teaching-learning process in mind.
