College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Amargadh began its functions in the year 2009. It is an affiliated college at Bhavnagar, Gujarat. This is a co-educational college approved by DCI and confers quality dental education. The campus is vast and it covers 182 acres of area. A healthy learning and research environment exist in this college.

This faculty has 165 members who impart overall dental education and has 7 courses that are spread over 2 programmes in degree courses. College of Dental Sciences and Hospital has manifold facilities for creating an enriching experience in learning and the all-round development of students. The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls, with buildings having three floors and single and double occupancy.

The college provides a well-equipped library and encourages students to go there for focused study. The campus also hosts facilities for sports, the IT infrastructure to support digital learning, and there is a canteen for refreshments. The institute provides a wide range of courses in the field of dentistry—from undergraduate courses to postgraduate programmes.

The BDS would be the central course here, and it would be inducted for an intake capacity of 100. For the post-graduated programmes, the college provides Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in six specialisations with an intake capacity of 3 students each.

The specialisations provided are Conservative and Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge , Periodontology, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry , Oral Medicine and Radiology, and Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics . The admission procedure to the College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Amargadh, will be as laid down by the national eligibility criteria for dental institutions.

In keeping with this, admissions to the BDS course will be as per the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, also called NEET . Likewise, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS, commonly referred to as NEET MDS , will be the main selection criterion for the MDS courses.
