The College of Poultry Production and Management Hosur was inaugurated in the year 2012. It is specialised in poultry science and technology. Situated in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, this constituent college is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Located on an 80-acre plot of land, the college currently has a total of 117 students enrolled in the college, with 55% male and 45% female.
Two specialisations in poultry technology are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of the institute with the help of a faculty of 13 members. Due to its well-defined programme and equipped facilities, the college intends to supply trained experts in the sphere of poultry.
The College of Poultry Production and Management has equipped itself with a number of facilities that are up to date in supporting the line of instruction. The library, being one of the core centres for academic materials, stocks more than 1500 books and has subscribed to eleven journals in science and technology, basic sciences, poultry science, and engineering and technology fields.

Currently, the laboratories in the college are adequately stocked in order to support practical teaching and research.
One notable feature is the functional poultry farm consisting of a hatchery unit and breeder and commercial poultry units, a poultry processing laboratory, a feed mill unit and a feed testing laboratory. These facilities provide students with useful practical experiences which enable them to gain practical experience.
The campus also houses highly maintained and fabulous hostels for boys and girls with basic facilities like hot water, RO system water, an indoor gym and washing. Other infrastructural services include having computer labs, sporting installations, an assembly hall for occasions, such as events and seminars, having a health centre for first aid as well as a modern student gym.
In terms of academic offerings, the College of Poultry Production and Management provides two full-time courses: a 4-year B. Tech in Poultry Technology and a 2-year M. Tech in Poultry Technology . On the B. Tech programme, 60 students are admitted, and for the M. Tech programme, 3 students are enrolled every year.
Admission into the college is aimed at ensuring recruiting candidates who have greater passion and suitability to learn poultry science and technology. However, a look at the college figures reveals that every single first-year college student is from within the state of Tamil Nadu, meaning the college is properly focused on the local market. It also provides scholarships, especially to college-level students.
Seventy-Four percent of the 112 undergraduate students enrolled in the college in the most recent academic year received some form of financial reimbursement.
