Deepthi College of Nursing, Nalgonda

Deepthi College of Nursing is situated in Nalgonda, Shanthi Nagar and was established in the year of 2006. This co-educational institute of learning is an affiliated college, by the INC, for specialised nursing institute. The actual strength is a student enrolment of 205 and the college has a faculty strength of 23 which which is good. Three full-time courses are taught at Deepthi College of Nursing comprising of B.

Sc Nursing, Post Basic B. Sc Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery. The college is bent on providing quality education with its offering being diverse and the physical structures modern. Available facilities at Deepthi College of Nursing include a fully functional laboratory, modern library, IT enabled facilities, cafeteria, sports facilities, and accommodation among others.

The college hosts well built laboratories that facilitate practical experience on several nursing processes. A modern library provides students with necessary updated books in nursing such as Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing.

For programmes, the campus has an auditorium for occasions such as event and seminars, thus creating a proper academic environment within the campus. As for fitness, there are sport infrastructure and a gym on the college’s territory. First aid facilities of a health centre are necessary for the health of the students.

The college also has a good standard IT facilities to encourage today’s trend student learning styles. Also, the Deepthi College of Nursing has put into place hostels for male and female students and they also provide dining halls and all other facilities deemed necessary for the comfort of the students. The college provides only three full-time courses in nursing education. These include the B.

Sc Nursing , Post Basic B. Sc Nursing and General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) courses which takes a more compact four-year format. The total students intake for all the courses offered is 205 and the college is able to offer quality education aspiring nurses. The courses offered in the college include B. Sc Nursing which has an approved carry capacity of 50 students a year and the Post Basic B.

The admission is in such a way that it passes through the right personnel to offer the nursing programme in Deepthi College of Nursing. As for the admission process, in general, nursing colleges may require good grades in mathematics and sciences as well as results of the entrance test.
