Dr BR Ambedkar School of Nursing, Dahegam

Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Nursing, Gandhinagar is a relatively new addition in the healthcare educational sphere of Gujarat. This affiliated college was established in the year 2020 in Dehgam. At the national level, this institute has been approved by INC, which is the Indian Nursing Council.

Among its facilities, this institute has a well-stocked library with more than 3,000 books, including the latest edition of nursing and medical literature, national and international journals, and periodicals. The resource centre provides students with access to a knowledge hub to extend their knowledge and support research work.

Laboratories in the college are well-equipped with the latest models and instruments so that students can learn and practice their skills in a simulated environment before their actual exposure to clinical practice. Keeping in mind the need for hands-on experience, the school has acquired an affiliation with the city's largest hospital in Asia.

The students get excellent practical experience in the 2,400-bedded Civil Hospital at Ahmedabad, having all types of speciality units. This allows them to get well-rounded exposure to various medical situations. The two primary courses offered by Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Nursing are a three-year General Nursing and Midwifery course and a two-year Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery course.

Both programs are full-time and on-campus, aimed at building up the students' careers in nursing. The GNM program has been sanctioned to admit 40 students and ANM 30 students per year. The admission process in Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Nursing is made easy and hassle-free for people who want to take up nursing as a profession.

The admission committee of a nursing institute would consider academic performance in relevant subjects, entrance examinations, and personal interviews.
