Gautam College, Gwalior

Gautam College is one of the affiliated college situated at Dabra, Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh state in India. The college was established with special emphasis on the teacher education and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which confirms the college’s adherence to the high quality of preparation of teachers.

Located at 11 – Bhitarwar Road, Dabra, the college adopted the co-educational system and open for students from all community. Gautam College offers facilities that are paramount for student achievement and development necessity. These include a library stocked with current books and journals in order for the prospective teacher to learn from and access.

There are places provided for the purpose of sporting activities, with a view of enhancing on the students’ health as well as the ability to develop skills for teamwork. The college also has better equipped modern I. T facilities to create awareness and knowledge among the students with modern technological advancement.

A campus-based auditorium is used for academic as well as cultural functions that may complement a student’s learning process. At this present time, Gautam College, Gwalior is primarily running a single course among all its faculties which is the Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed ) course. Of course, this is a full-time programme that prepares future educators and lasts for two years.

This college has a sanctioned intake capacity of hundred seats for this programme, which fulfills the need of a large number of prospective teachers every year.
