Government Ayurved College and Hospital, Nagpur, was established in the year 1965. The institution is pretty famous for its Ayurved education and health care. Being affiliated, it is located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and is approved by CCIM. It has a course count of 11 courses in 3 degree programmes, offering various specialisations in the field of Ayurveda. The sprawling campus is spread over an area of 15 acres.

Here, it has a total intake of students to the extent of 515, along with a faculty strength of 32, hence offering an amiable environment for learning. This college imparts postgraduate MD/MS programmes in different branches of Ayurveda. They have postgraduate programmes, such as MD in Kayachikitsa, Swasthavritta, Agadtantra, and MS in Shalya Tantra. The courses are full-time courses that offer intensive training in Ayurvedic principles and practices. The total approved intake of students for BAMS is 100, while most of the P. G.

Programmes consist of 6 seats each to ensure personal attention and quality education. The admission process in Government Ayurved College and Hospital, Nagpur is entrance examination-based. For the postgraduate courses, the college accepts the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test score. This national examination is used as a deciding factor for admission into the MD and MS courses of Ayurveda.

The AIAPGET shall be conducted mostly once a year, and the probable dates of this examination, along with the admission cycle, have to be kept track of by the prospective students.
