the Government College, Mahidpur, was established in 1969 as a private college in the government middle school building at Kila Road, Mahidpur. After that, on 15 Aug. 1973, it was taken over by the government of Madhya Pradesh, affiliated to vikram university ujjain m. p. Later on, this college was shifted to its present building in 1989.
The college was started with the ug classes of arts only and commerce and the PG classes in geography, economics and commerce with ug classes in science faculty since 1984. At the opening, the student strength was approximately 150; in the current session, it is 1341. Our institution is located in a rural area and providing the higher educational facilities to the educationally backward students.
