Government College of Nursing, Udaipur, whichwas started in the year 2010, is one of the leading institutesfocused on nursing education in the Rajasthan state of India. Situated at Hospital Road, Udaipur, this institution is a co-educational college recognised by the MHRD as an INC-affiliated college. The college provides different nursing courses: undergraduate and postgraduate, in total there are 4 courses .

Currently the college has 208 students and has a faculty of 19 teachers, which keeps the student-teacher ratio favourable, which makes the college assure its students of their personal attention and quality education. Nursing course has the capacity to admit 50 students each year. For the postgraduate studies, the college offers specialised Master of Science in nursing programmes with a duration of two years, and only five students are offered per programme in each specialisation. These are M. Sc in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, and Community Health Nursing .

All courses are on or are designed to be on a full-time basis, while offering both theoretical concepts and practical sessions. The current overall student enrolment and intake for all the programmes is seventy. This shows the institute's concern in keeping standard education by limiting the number of students in each class.
