Government College of Pharmacy, Ratnagiri

The Government College of Pharmacy, Ratnagiri was established in the year 2009 in the state of Maharashtra, India. This co-educational college with government ownership is spread over 5 acres, and accredited by the Pharmacy Council of India. This college offers a total student enrolment of 164 and a faculty strength of 7, thereby providing a concentrated study setting.

The institute offers three specialized courses in the field of pharmacy at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, thereby highlighting its commitment toward holistic pharmaceutical education. Government College of Pharmacy, Ratnagiri has innumerable facilities to cater to the students during their learning period. A functional college library is a source of knowledge and has 942 title books with 208 volumes.

Moreover, there are subscriptions to 11 international and 13 national journals. Rich collection is supplemented by digital resources available in the form of CDs and internet facilities for online research. It flaunts well-equipped laboratories, without which practical understanding of pharmaceutical sciences is unthinkable.

Equipped with the latest IT infrastructure, sports facilities, and a gymnasium, it imparts a healthy balance to their approach towards education. The courses offered in this college are mainly focused on pharmacy. The three full-time courses are B. Pharma, D. Pharma , and M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics. B. Pharma is an undergraduate course with a four-year duration and an intake capacity of 100 students. D.

Pharma is a two-year diploma program with 60 students. M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics is a two-year postgraduate program that offers additional specialized study in this area.

In line with these objectives, these courses are conducted in a manner that allows for the good transfer of knowledge and skills regarding various aspects of pharmacy, so that graduates may be prepared for successful careers within the pharmaceutical industry, as well as research and health sectors.
