This College covers a vast area of tribal belt & therefore most of the students belong to tribal only. Firstly, this college was started by M. P. State Government in 1983 in a Girls Hostel building, later on, it shifted on its own building on 21 September 1991 & from the very beginning, the college is flourishing and having attempt to spread the Light of education day by day.

The goal of our college is to reach the light of the higher education to the unapproachable poor tribal students by providing them quality education & preparing them to face the challenges of the time running.

The vision of our college is to Provide low cost qualitative higher education to the students of socio-economically-educationallyweaker sections of the area, create &develope the sports atmosphere, promote slow learning students, strengthen students, support system, community and extension activities, get updating to the modern time, and stimulate the academic environment for promotion of quality of teaching–learning and research.

Government Degree College, Pushprajgarh , offers 5 degrees and 10 fulltime courses. For the undergraduate courses, including BA B. Com, and B. Sc, candidates for postgraduate programmes like MA . and M. Sc must have a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
