Government College, Suratgarh founded in 1977 is located in Suratgarh city of Rajasthan state. Located on NH-15, this affiliated college has been into existence for more than forty years. The above college occupies a vast area of 22. 7 acres allowing the college to offer a conducive environment to support learning.

The institution is privileged to having total enrolment of 2,111 students and faculty of 31 hardworking educators. The current flexible Undergraduate programmes offered by the College are 5 of them spread over 4 degrees of differentiation to meet student’s diverse needs and career choices.

The Government College is bound to offer all round learning facilities that can make the students feel comfortable while they study. Equipped with innovative text-book facility the library has more than 21,000 books for text-books and other general books, reference books, and competitive exams. Presently for the students there are 7 newspapers both in Hindi and English available and 18 magazines and journals.

The library has a formal reading room of reasonably generous proportions with a capacity to allow one hundred readers at any one time. Sports lovers will also feel at home with most of the sporting disciplines both indoor and outdoor facilities being put at measures like; Athletics, weight training, boxing, cricket, volleyball, basketball and even many others.

The college has also a modern language laboratory which comprises of a master control panel as well as twenty students’ control panels for language acquisition. The courses provided at Government College, Suratgarh are a 5 full-time courses . The course being taught are BA , B. Com, B.

Sc with specialisations in Physics, Chemistry, Math and Computer science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and BCA as a self financing course. The intent of this facility is to encourage female students on attaining higher education by affording them an opportunity to learn away from home.
