Government Degree College, Billawar

Government Degree College, Billawar, was setup in 2005 and is affiliated with the University of Jammu, for offering a variety of courses. The college is situated in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir state in India. Located on 10. 12 acres, this institution is known for its effort in advancing higher learning and has been around for almost two decades.

It is, at present, conducting classes with 1,270 students enrolment and a teaching staff of 43 experienced faculty members. Having the NAAC accreditation from the Government of India, Government Degree College, Billawar, offers students four courses of study at the undergraduate level.

Some of additional facilities that one will find on this campus are a canteen, accommodation for visitors, health facility inclusive of first aid station, and tablet enhanced teaching facilities such as power point, sound system classrooms etc. Government Degree College, Billawar offers four full-time undergraduate programmes such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B. Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.

Com) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). All these programmes take a duration of three years thereby giving the students full education in the respective fields. The college is capable of admitting a total of 1270 student through all the courses offered in the college, showing the colleges’ interest to offer quality education to many students in the region.

The college offers admission to its several undergraduate programmes for which the candidates must have passed 10+2 level or its equivalent examinations; it admits applicants for the concessionary professional degree course through an entrance test.
