Government Degree College located in Mancherial was established in 2008 and aims at nurturing young minds in various different fields of study. The college is recognised by NCTE and has a dedicated faculty that aims at offering new methods of teaching to the students for better understanding of the concepts.

Government Degree College has a variety of facilities which are intended to supplement the delivery of education to the learners. Sports freaks should seize the opportunity of engaging in various sports activities in well equipped and developed sports fields whereas prospective teachers can find a lot of useful information in the college library.

This adopted practice of the college emphasizing on the practical learning is evidenced by departmental laboratory where students practice. Crisis management is provided for with health services at the on-campus health centre which features a first aid facility. As an auditorium it becomes a lively place for holding events and seminars, that promotes comprehensiveness of students.

Government Degree College currently offers 8 courses that includes graduate courses for the students to choose from. The courses offered are BA, B. Sc, and B. Com . All the courses are full time and cater to the various different principles of different fields thus giving the students valuable insights.
