The self-financed Government Erode Medical College and Hospital, Perundurai which was started in the year of 1992 is one of the well-known medical college in Erode District of Tamil Nadu. This co-educational college is affiliated for the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University & recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC).

Staff Motivation The college admits a total of students 486 with faculties of 98 that offer 4 courses under 3 degrees across the medical specialties. As so, based on this plan one can observe that medical education quality is a top priority at the institute through the provision of update course contents and well equipped facilities.

The college has numerous complex facilities, which can be useful in developing the learning process of the college students. There are functional skills through medical practice through laboratory facilities, medical books and journals for the library, and information technology for the learning process.

Government Erode Medical College and Hospital total course offered are 4 full time course which includes undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Faculty wise, the total approved MBBS intake is 100, MS General Surgery is having 4 intake, MD Emergency Medicine is having 3 intake, and MD Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy has 2 intake.
