Government First Grade College, Vitla

The Government First Grade College, Vitla also known as GFGC Vitla is one of the most sought after educational institution in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka state, India. This is an affiliated college which has been in existence for almost three decades having been started in 1993. GFGC Vitla has well-compered lush green 6.

9 acres of land where the students are encouraged to make their own and creative setting for learning. The college is currently hosting 328 students and 11 members of staff hence in order to be effective with its students the college faculty is well acquaintance.

This year, our college, GFGC Vitla, got NAAC accreditation which indicates our college’s systematic effort in the achievement of maintaining high academic standard. It is because this college claims that they aim at availing a list of amenities to support the learning process of the students.

Situated in the heart of the Virginia Tech campus and a major building block of the institution’s intellectual and academic facilities is the Blacksburg library with a special section for postgraduate students, in addition to a preceding collection for undergraduate learners. For the sport lovers and those has passion for Physical Education, the college has very good sports amenities through GFGC Vitla.

On the same note, the college has strong information technology base to prepare students for any technological development. Therefore on the compound there is a cafeteria that offers balanced and healthy foods at fair prices possible and the auditorium that can accommodate different functions and seminars among others.

The college also has the health care assistance facility for handling emergency first aid where is the Physical Director in charge. Internet connection is offered in all the campus to support connectivity for academic use through Wi-Fi. Also, at GFGC Vitla the alumni association is functional, we have the tradition of continuing interaction between the current and previous learners.

GFGC Vitla is a university that provides a multicultural list teach courses based on disciplines and various fields that one may pursue a career in. The college offers five full Credit programmes as follow, under four degree programmes.

Some of the programmes include Master of Social Work (MSW), Bachelor of Social Work ( BSW ), Bachelor of Arts (BA) in for instance Sociology, History, Economics , Optional Kannada, and Bachelor of Commerce ( B. Com ). This variety enables students to lay emphasis on the track that they would like to pursue in the near future.
