Government General Degree College, Dantan-II was established in 2015. It is a co-educational college situated at Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. This affiliated college with an area of 5. 08 acres is rich in programmes and has 638 students enrolled in the academic year. reflected by 20 committed faculty members, the college offers a favorable learning atmosphere for its learners.

It currently teaches 8 courses in two degree programmes it offered in arts and sciences such as Bengali , English, Political Science , Philosophy, History , Mathematics, Physics , and Chemistry. Every library at Government General Degree College, Dantan-II contains a collection of works which can be enormously helpful in accomplishing specific academic tasks.

It has departmental laboratories within it, where students in the field of science enjoy practical experiences to be in the laboratory. The college also has guest house or waiting room for faculty and students‘ guests or family so that they made feel at home.
