Government Girls Degree College, Varanasi, is a premier girls' institution in the heart of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college was started in the millennium year 2000 and has emerged as a frontline college, with a strength of more than students within a span of two decades. The college spreads over 8 acres, providing an ideal setting for academic rigor and all-round development.

The college has gained a grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which clearly indicates an improvement in quality education. At present, 638 students are enrolled in GGDC Varanasi, with a faculty strength of 12 members. It is these numbers that make the learning procedure personalised in nature.

The institution provides 2 courses in 2 different degree programmes, to which diverse academic interests affiliate under arts and commerce streams. GGDC Varanasi has numerous modern facilities in pursuit of its commitment to education.
