Government Law College, Salem, was founded in the year 2021. This is an institution that aims to produce future lawyers in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The college, relatively young, is still actively developing, but it has already become an important part of the educational environment of young legal professionals, where it prepares two types of legal professionals.

Government Law College, Salem, is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU). The college campus is located at the Government High School Campus at Maniyanur, Salem, and thus promotes a favourable learning atmosphere for law in particular.

This programme of BA LLB integrated, which costs ₹7,295 per year, is more comprehensive than the LLM programme, and it is meant for learners directly from high school, with emphasis on arts and law education. The college has a strength of 167 students per session and 5 faculty members, making the essential student-faculty ratio ideal, as it ensures maximum attention given to students.

The procedures for admission of the candidates in the Government Law College, Salem, are simple and are based on merit.
